The government insulation grant scheme aims to completely cover the cost of insulation for your home. The scheme is part of the governments new carbon emissions reduction target (CERT). Major energy suppliers have to meet targets to reduce carbon emissions by paying for insulation in domestic properties.
100% insulation grants are available where; anyone is aged 70 or over, and anyone is in receipt of certain benefits, tax credits or allowances.
Applicants which arent entitled to a 100% insulation grant can be offered between 40% - 70% towards their insulation costs. The main types of insulation are cavity wall insulation and loft insulation.
